I’m going to be honest here, I am not a big rugby fan. That might not sound like a big deal but, being Welsh, this is tantamount to sacrilege! My husband does like a bit of rugby but, lucky for me, is not a die-hard fan. He is, however, a fan of Die Hard. As am I. Awesome film. The Six Nations is one of two occasions during the year – the other being the Autumn Internationals, where dearest husband does like to watch the rugby. As a compromise, I get him to look after our son whilst he does so that I can get on with business. Works for us!
You may find that I blog more over these coming weekends, especially during match times. This can only be a good thing as far as I’m concerned. I’ve actually been too busy baking for profit to blog! Now, when I say baking for profit, I mean people are actually willing to pay me to bake things for them. “Profit” refers to the fact that I cover my costs and make an hourly wage. Admittedly my hourly wage is roughly £0.42 but still! So, as a tenuous link, I’d like to share with you a picture of a cake I did that is shaped like a rugby ball. In fact, it was pretty much the same size as a standard size 5 rugby ball used in International matches. Doesn’t hold up so well to drop kicks though.
So, to all you rugby fans, enjoy the match. To everyone else, enjoy the cake!

I do rather enjoy the Six Nations. It’s a bit rubbish when there’s a winner before all the matches are played though!

That is true, but Wales were always going to beat Italy at home, next week will be a better test for them.
